Results hard to change fin final phase

Intervela - Results hard to change fin final phase
RIVA DEL GARDA, ITALY-(15-7-2005) Enrico Fonda back first for 470 men, Trujillo for Finn bound to his great result, the Dutch Marcelien De Koning leader for 470 women, while the duet Togni, Gian Marco and Filippo among 420 are unreachable.

After the two races of today, results will be hard to change. The 55th Intervela heads to end and the rankings look done. For what concernes 470 men the first step of the virtual podium is now for the Italian crew Enrico Fonda and Pietro Zucchetti (1.4.1.1.5.7.1.1) of the Yacht Club Adriaco, back in first place thanks to the two victories of today, discarding the seventh place of yesterday’s last race. Now second the British Brotherton (2.2.2.2.3.3.ocs.3), and third place for the Dutch Sven Coster (10.1.4.5.1.1.4.2).

The Finn rankings see Rafael Trujillo (3.1.1.4.1.1.1.1) definitely the leader of this event with two more first placet today (the last race of the Intervela, the ninth scheduled by the NoR, will be tomorrow); the gap between Trujillo and Marin Misura is now of five points. As said the Croatian Marin Misura (1.3.2.1.2.2.3.3) is in second place, and the other Croatian Carlo Kuret (2.2.3.3.4.3.2.2) is third. The first Italian is Walter Riosa, slipped into eleventh place because today did not race.

The Dutch Marcelien De Koning (3.3.4.2.2.3.1.2) jumps into the first place for 470 women thanks to her victory in the first race of today, and than a second place. This way the British Bassadine (2.1.2.7.1.4.ocs.1) slips into the second place while the Slovene Teja Cerne (1.2.5.5.4.1.2.4) keeps her third place. The first Italian, Elisabetta Saccheggiani and Myriam Cutolo (Yacht Club Italiano Genova), keeps the sixth place.

In 420,Gian Marco and Filippo Togni (1.1.1.1.2.1.2.dnf), of the neighbour Circolo Vela Arco, got a second place in the first race, but they did not finish in the second one (then discarded, obviously); they are the leader crew of their class, eight points left to the second placed crew, Goffredi-Petissi (4.2.11.2.1.5.1.2) of the Fraglia Vela Desenzano (9 vs 17), so that they’re going to win this Intervela. Third place for Mancinelli Scotti-Brighenti (Circolo Vela Roma - dns.3.2.3.9.2).
