GEATA, ITALY-(30-4-2004) Officials and competitors at the Audi Star class world championships are not having much luck. The one thing that is required to go sailing, the wind, is not playing this week and another day of the championship has been lost due to lack of wind.
Competitors were sent out onto the water but the lack of wind and the fact that it was constantly shifting prevented a starting line being set and after seven hours afloat the competitors were sent back to shore.
It now looks likely that racing will continue into the reserve day on Sunday 2 May as they need to get in all six races in order to qualify the event as a world championship.
Racing is again scheduled to start at 11 00 in the hope of getting the championship underway again.
